Port Blair, Nov 20: Yesterday Ms. V. K. Mariyam Bibi, ex-Adhyaksha Zilla Parishad South Andaman along with Mr. Laxmi Narayan, ex-Up Pramukh Ferrargunj & Smti Ruchi Ahuja, social worker met Dr. Omkar Singh, DHS and discussed various issues related to CHC Bambooflat.
They asked for a fully functional operation theatre and also a dialysis unit to be placed for the convenience of the public. The delegation also informed him about the non- functional status of the digital X-ray for the last three months.
The DHS reportedly assured that by December end they will post a team of surgeon, anesthesiologists and medical specialists at CHC Bambooflat.
In regards to the installation of the dialysis unit, he told that due to some pending civil work it has been delayed and assured that as soon as the work gets finished, it will start to function. He also committed to do the needful with respect to digital X-ray at the earliest.
