Port Blair, Nov 06: Andaman Sheekha, Daily on November 04, 2020 reported about problems being faced by a Divyang girl student of Shantanu Village of Middle Andaman, after NHIDCL constructed a drain infront of her house blocking her access to main road from the house of the Divyang Girl.
When Andaman Sheekha took up this matter with the District Commissioner, North, and Middle Andaman, Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan today, she informed that necessary directions have been given to the NHIDCL to provide safe passage for the family of the Divyang Girl so that she does not face any problem in reaching to the main road.
Regarding similar problems being faced by other residents living along the ATR, including farmers the Deputy Commissioner said the NHIDCL has been already given directions to do necessary modifications during drain construction works to provide clear access to the people living near the ATR to reach the main road. She advised general public of North and Middle Andaman to contact concerned contractors if they face similar problem.
