Rangat, Nov 02: As part of “JAN-ANDOLAN” campaign of Govt of India to create awareness to fight against SARS-CoV-2 viral infection, COVID-19 disease, the Homoeopathy (AYUSH) unit of CHC Rangat on 2 November 2020, distributed Homoeopathic prophylactic medicine for Influenza like illness, to boost the immunity of the individuals to fight and protect from viral infections and also distributed pamphlets to the shopkeepers of Rangat.
The campaign covered more than 300 people covering the shop owners, family members, their employees and customers present in the shop at that point of time. The Merchant Association of Rangat took active participation in the “JAN-ANDOLAN” for distribution of pamphlets and Homoeopathic Prophylactic Medicine. The medicine Arsenic Album 30, is advised to be taken in an empty stomach for 3 days (adult 4 and children 2 globules) and to be repeated after one month, (further doses can be obtained from Homoeo unit, CHC Rangat). Dr.Bindu Kumar, Medical Officer reminded the public on the importance of appropriate COVID-19 behavior and General Precaution to be taken during this COVID-19 Pandemic in simple easy to remember mnemonics (S.M.S. & E.D.S).
Here the S.M.S. stands for protecting from infection through Social-Distance, Mask, Soap/Sanitiser for hand wash/hygiene. The EDS stands for life style modification through Exercise (daily), Diet (Balanced Nutritious Natural Diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables and enough of proteins) and Stress-free-Life (through Prayers/ Meditation practices), which are the best way to protect and strengthen immune/ defense mechanism of the body. Homoeopathic medicine and other AYUSH medicines and measures complements a lot in correcting and maintaining the immune status of the individual, provided the individual takes charge of his own health through healthy food and life style habits on a daily basis.
These measures not only protect us from infections but also helps us to control the blood glucose levels (Diabetes), Blood pressure and other Non-communicable disease. In COVID-19 disease, the un-cared un-controlled Non-communicable disease (like Diabetes, Hypertension Kidney diseases etc) are a matter of great concern and often turns fatal, he reminded the merchant community. The campaign was lead by Medical Officer (Homoeo) Dr.B.Bindu Kumar, Organizing Secretary, Merchant Association Rangat Shri.G.Sadasivam, Treasurer Shri.S.Athi Saktivel and V.Senthil Kumar Social worker.
