Port Blair, October 21: A joint interrogation team of Police and Defence today inspected foreign ship INCI, which reached Port Blair for shelter, because of adverse weather conditions at high sea.
Earlier, the five crew members of the ship and also the members of joint interrogation team were tested for COVID-19 and their results came negative.
As per claims of the crew members the Cargo ship ‘INCI’ left for Sri Lanka from Malaysia on 13th October, but took shelter in Port Blair port area on 18th October 2020, due to the rough weather conditions.
As per reports, the Japanese cargo ship with Mongolian Flag has been purchased by a Turkish Company, and hence, the ship is on its way to Turkey with hardly any cargo.
As the joint interrogation is over now as soon as the weather conditions become favourable, the ship will sail for Sri Lanka, and from there it will leave for Turkey.
As per sources, the crew members have informed the joint interrogation team that they have all the essential commodities, and they do not require any support from local authorities.
