Port Blair, Oct 20: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to arrange a big ship viz MV Swaraj Dweep/ MV Nancowry/ MV Nicobar to sail from Port Blair to Nicobar Group of Islands and vice versa for transportation of stranded people including essential food and ration items to Car Nicobar, Teressa, Chowra, Katchal, Kamota, Campbell Bay etc. since large number of tribal peoples of Nicobar Group of Islands are struck up at Port Blair since last 03 (three) months who are facing grate hardship to meet their daily requirements. He also said that due to non sailing of boats, many people are helplessly waiting for getting their required treatment at GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair besides delay in getting ration/food items.
