Billyground, October 12: The Deputy Inspector General, Andaman, and Nicobar Police, Mr. Jatin Narwal, who was in a recent visit to the North and Middle Andaman, spoke to Andaman Sheekha at Billyground and mentioned that the purpose of his visit is to see whether the economic activities and efforts to beat COVID-19 in the unlock process is happening on the ground, as per the issued guidelines or not.
Moreover, he said that creating awareness among the public is one of the major purposes.
Mr. Narwal also held meetings with religious heads, market associates, PRIs and informed them to follow the unlock process as issued by the MHA.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha on 10th October 2020 at the Billyground Police Station, the DIG said that the Police Officers, like SI Debnath who had put extraordinary efforts for the welfare of the society which was also recognized by the Public, are in the knowledge of the Police headquarter and the process of appreciating such officers is under process.
