Port Blair, Oct 08: A 79 year old lady yesterday died at PHC Hut Bay and later when her body was airlifted to Port Blair, she was tested COVID-19 positive at G B Pant Hospital today. As per the sources, she was residing with her daughter at Hut Bay.
According to details, she was already Anemic and was suffering with breathing problems.
Sources said since yesterday morning she started having health issues and was admitted at PHC Hut Bay but on the same day afternoon she passed away.
Today morning, while arrangements were made for airlifting her body for Port Blair alongwith the family members of the deceased, one of her grandsons was tested Covid-19 positive and was immediately send to Hut Bay’s Covid Care Centre.
Later when the family reached Port Blair with the body, the family members demanded Covid-19 test for her, following which test was done and she was tested Covid-19 positive and was cremated as per the Covid-19 protocol.
