Port Blair, Oct 08: In a joint combing operation, Beat Officers alongwith mazdoors of Adazig range under Baratang Forest Department headed by Mr. DharmaRao, Forest Ranger, Adazig Range has recovered133 hunting traps, which were laid to trap wild animals. The recovery was made during the beat patrolling in the area Khori Tikry, Medical Tikry, Nayadera under Adazig Range. Accused were not found in the area.
The Divisional Forest Officer, Baratang, Mr. Vipul Pandey, IFS, has, further, appealed to the general public to share credible information pertaining to illegal activities related to forest & wildlife over Phone No.279522 (Nilambur Range) and Mob. No. 9531860638 (RO, Adajig Range). The identity of the informer will be kept secret.
