Car Nicobar, September 14: A 70-year-old Nicobari Tribal was allegedly killed by his Son-in-law yesterday night at Malacca near the church. As per reports, the septuagenarian, a fisherman by profession allegedly had some quarrel with his son-in-law for some unknown reasons as a result of which the fuming son-in-law picked a wooden log and hit his father-in-law on the face. The hit by the wooden log was so hard that the father-in-law soon died on the spot.
It is learned that in the morning a few villagers spotted the dead body of the septuagenarian following which they reported the matter to the Car Nicobar Police Station.
A murder case has been registered in the Car Nicobar Police Station and as tribals are involved in these case the police are minutely investigating the case. Further details are awaited.
