Port Blair, Aug 26: In a welcome move the Additional District Magistrate of South Andaman has been designated as Nodal Officer to oversee functioning of Covid Management in G B Pant Hospital. An order regarding this has been issued by the Secretary of Health on 25, August 2020.
As per the order, all concerned officials assigned various duties have been asked to submit daily report through the office of the MS G B Pant Hospital latest by 5.00 PM every day.
In the order different teams of doctors have been assigned different duties like COVID19 patients’ diet, Sampling, quality control, plasma extraction, transfusion, assignment and detailed documentation of Covid mortality, preparing JR and intern Roster etc.
In social media group of media person the Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman, Mr. Suneel Anchipaka today mentioned that the DC office is concentrating in many crucial issues such as 102 call center stream-lining; Roster System of all Doctors, Nurses & other staff; Reserved staff incase if anyone of them don’t turn up; Regular Food System with feedback; Ambulance Back up at least 4 to 5, exclusively for Covid19 cases of GBPH; Regular Drinking Water, Sanitation & Toilets cleaning facilities etc.
“We are streamlining everything. If there is any problem then DC, Control Room 1070 works 24X7,” he added.
Things have visibly improved after Mr. Suneel Anchipaka has taken over as the new DC of South Andaman and people of South Andaman are expecting that the difficult times of this pandemic will be over soon for entire Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
