Port Blair, July 29: A family of Mr Makam Pathar R/o Paragara, Kishorinagar consisting of five members were found COVID-19 positive. They came to Port Blair from Jharkand on 15/07/20 via Kolkata.
On 17/07/20 they came to Parangara, North and got home quarantined from the moment they entered this area. Due to weaker economic background the other members of the family, who were not positive and staying at home, were in difficult situation to meet there daily food requirements as they were under home quarantine for past 13 days.
On getting this information, SI P.Jeevan, SHO PS Kalighat decided to help the needy and facilitated ration distribution to the family while ensuring social distancing during the process. This action of the local police is appreciated by the local people.
