Kadamtala, July 05: A hydro crane reportedly fell into the sea accidentally with the Driver on it, early morning yesterday at Humphrey Strait Bridge site, the driver succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
The driver, who died, is Ranjit Kumar, 34, hails from Kerala and was working with a private construction company. Soon after the incident, he was shifted to the PHC Kadamtala, where the doctor declared him dead.
The post mortem of the driver was conducted and his dead body has been sent to Port Blair today. Andaman Sheekha has learned that his dead body will be handed over to his family members in Kerala soon. Due to network issues, concerned officials could not be contacted for complete details.
