Port Blair, Sep 20: Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC, and all Senior leaders and members have congratulated to the Supdt of Police, Dumka, Jharkhand, Mr Hemant Toppo, a 2001 batch IPS officer who has been awarded President’s Police Medal for Gallantry conferred by the Union Government of India this year (2012).
He participated in the Anti-Naxalite Operation in the forests of Narkandi in Gomla in 2003. Mr Hemant Toppo belongs to Andaman and Nicobar Islands, son of Mr Abraham Toppo, the first former Vice Chairman of Zilla Parishad, AN Islands, and resident of Kadakachang Village, South Adaman.
He accomplished his primary education from Nirmala Senior Secondary School, Port Blair.
“Mr Hemant has not only made proud to his parents, but also Ranchi Community and family members, rather he has made entire Andaman and Nicobar Islands proud,” Mr Kuldeep added.
