Port Blair, June 24: Following directions of Traffic Unit of Andaman and Nicobar Police to mandatorily fix Rear View Mirrors in Two Wheelers, the sale of Rear View Mirrors witnessed a sudden jump in local market.
Now according to many most of the shops have gone out of stock while those shops, which are selling these Rear View Mirrors, are making hefty profit from this.
As per reports these Rear View Mirrors costs nearly Rs. 100 to Rs. 150 each but in Andaman some shops are selling these mirrors at Rs. 200 while some are selling at Rs. 250 each.
The shopkeepers are neither giving bills nor are providing packets with the Rear View Mirrors, to hide the actual MRP. Sadly there is no check from the side of Administration in this regard and hence directions of Traffic Department proved a profitable business for some businessmen.
