Port Blair, June 22: A heated argument during a football match yesterday turned into a disaster, when a spectator punched one player on his left eye, with a key hidden inside his hand.
The incident took place yesterday during the second half of the match at around 5.15 PM at a ground, situated behind ZPVKV School in Ranchi Tikry.
The victim Mr. Rohan Topno reportedly suffered serious injuries on his left eye and was later rushed to PHC Garacharma, from where he was referred to G B Pant Hospital. In GB Pant Hospital, after carefully examination, Doctors admitted him in the hospital for advance treatment.
The attacker was later identified as Sumit Horo, who has now been arrested by police. The accused with his friends had gone to the ground to watch the match but later involved in an argument over a foul.
