Port Blair, June 17: In a tragic incident a police Jawan and a Home Guard Jawan went missing after a boat they were in, capsize due to high waves. According to reports these two Jawans along with an ASI of IRBn and a Constable of Police were on an anti-poaching mission when this incident took place. The incident took place at around 9.00 AM in the morning.
Sources said Police Jawan Mr. Mohan Rao, Home Guard Jawan Mr. Rajesh still remain missing while IRBn ASI survived while another Police Jawan Mr. Abdul Aziz survived the accident but his condition remains critical therefore he has been shifted to Hut Bay Hospital.
The search for two missing Jawans continued by police and Coast Guard till late evening but till last report poured in the Jawans could not be located.
However, it is still not clear that four Jawans were in a boat or a makeshift dinghy. More details are awaited.
