Port Blair, June 07: Non-broadcasting of Tele Educational Classes prepared for the students of Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the lockdown in the TATA Sky services has Port Blair has deprived several students of the Islands from digital learning, claims Mrs. Neeta Agarwal, Member, UT Commission for protection of Child Rights.
In a letter addressed to Secretary Education, Mrs. Neeta Agarwal stated that it was very beneficial for the students after the Department of Education have started tele-classes through Digital platform through DDK Port Blair, Local Cable TV Channels, and All India Radio, Port Blair.
“If the TATA Sky services also start broadcasting the educational classes prepared by the teachers of the Department of Education, many students limited to TATA Sky services itself will also be able to get the maximum benefit out of it,” Mrs. Neeta Agarwal added.
Mrs. Neeta Agarwal has requested the Secretary Education to intervene and ask Tata Sky Port Blair to provide the service at the earliest.
The request was made considering the fact that number of TATA Sky subscribers is increasing very rapidly in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, due to customer friendly service and affordable cost but the only drawback id DDK Port Blair unavailable in TATA Sky.
