Port Blair, May 24: In a freak incident, two women have reportedly created a ruckus on the road by misbehaving with the public and Police Jawans on the evening of 22nd May 2020.
Going into the details, both the women, allegedly under the heavy influence of liquor boarded a STS bus from Prothrapur towards Birchgunj. On the bus, they met one more lady of their village, on whom they started to hurl abuses for no reason.
According to eyewitnesses, both drunken women also started manhandling the lady of their village. When the bus reached near Prothrapur Jail, the bus was stopped and the staffs of the bus asked both the drunken women to leave the bus.
This statement from the bus staffs annoyed both the drunken women to such extend that they ran out and lay down in front of the bus. Even after attempts were made by the staffs of the bus and passengers both the drunken women refused to get up.
Soon the Police were informed and two PCR vans reached the spot in no time, but sadly it took an hour for the police personnel to take control of the drunken ladies.
Lady police personnel were also manhandled by the drunken ladies, it is learned.
As per reports, immediately after taking the custody of both the drunken women, the police took them to the hospital for a medical test and released both the drunken women because it was already night by then, however, next day morning the police team of Pahargaon police unit again picked them up and registered a case against them for misbehaving with public and police. Both the women are now in judicial custody, it is learned.
