Port Blair, May 10: The Secretary, Tribal Development Council, A & N Islands Mr. Rayhaan Pasha has requested the Lt. Governor, A & N Islands to help the Tribal Students of Nicobar who are stranded at Mainland to bring them back to the Island.
He also mentioned in his request that the stranded tribal students are facing acute financial crisis and are in hand-to-mouth. With no money with them, it would be difficult for them even purchase the tickets and food during the course of their transportation back to their native. He therefore called upon the Lt. Governor to issue directions to the concerned department of the A & N Administration to make arrangements for free food and transportation on humanitarian grounds.
