Mayabunder, May 03: The proactive Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman today issued Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for intra-district of vehicles (both private and commercial) in North and Middle Andaman District. The SOP was issued in compliance with MHA guidelines dated 01.05.2020 and endorsed by A&N Administration Dated 02.05.2020.
According to the SOP Auto and Taxis shall be allowed as per COVID-19 protocols and Guidelines, There’s shall be no restriction on the issue of Petrol and Diesel for all type of vehicles, however, it is expected that public shall undertake essential movements only.
As per the SOP non essential movements shall be discouraged, No-non essential movement allowed between 7 pm to 7 am strictly. The order will be effective from tomorrow, the DC informed Andaman Sheekha today.
The DC also mentioned that people who have come to North and Middle Andaman by car before Lockdown shall also be allowed as one time relaxation. One driver plus two passengers will be allowed.
