Betapur, April 22: To bring a critical cancer patient from Dhanninallah Dispensary, Sub- Inspector SK Debnath of Betapur Check Post without hesitating paddled a wooden dinghy towards Dhanninallah this morning.
As per reports, Sub- Inspector SK Debnath, received information that a senior citizen of Dhanninallah viz. Mr. Biswanath Bhay, also a cancer patient, is critical and needs medical attention immediately.
Unfortunately, after efforts, the SI didn’t receive the support of any dinghy because it was the late-night following which he anyhow arranged a private wooden dinghy in the morning at around 08:00 am and paddled the same to Dhanninallah to bring the patient to Betapur Dispensary.
The bedridden patient with care tools was handled extremely well by the Sub- Inspector, it is learned.
Once the patient was shifted to the Betapur Dispensary, the SI immediately called Dr. Subh Sankar, and after treatment the patient recovered.
The SI and the daughter of the patient learned to have paddled the canopy back to Dhanninallah and shifted the patient safely to his house.
