Port Blair, Sep 09: Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC, has requested the Lt Governor of A & N Islands, to allow free bus passes and boat passes to the all the students of these Islands.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, Mr Sharma has stated that this noble consideration will ease the burden of poor parents who are somehow managing the travelling expenses for their school and college going children.
Mr Sharma further stated that poor parents somehow cut short their necessities and manage to and fro journey expenses. In some cases, these poor parents have to pay more than Rs. 60/- per day, in case they have to send more than one children to school or college, Mr Sharma added.
