Port Blair, Feb.7: In order to preserve and promote classical art forms amongst the youth, the Kala Kendra Society under the Dept. of Art & Culture in collaboration with the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Cultural Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY) has organized a series of Workshop-Cum-Demonstration on Kuchipudi for school and college students from 4th to 7th February 2020 at Port Blair and rural areas of South Andaman with the sole objective of generating awareness on cultural heritage of classical dances of India amongst young students.
Accordingly, Workshop-Cum-Demonstration was organized at Govt. Sr. Secondary School Manglutan, Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Rangachang, Naval Children School, Govt. Sr. Secondary School Ravindra Bangla Vidyalaya, Andaman Law College and ANCOL.
The event was featured by Ms. Pujita Krishna, Kuchipudi Exponent from Hyderabad, who mesmerized the students with every master piece performance and the students also participated enthusiastically and got exposed to the cultural heritage of classical dances of India.
