Rangat, Feb 06: An over speed sedan car that was heading towards Billyground from Rangat, hit an electric pole at Nimbutala Junction this morning at around 08:40 AM.
The impact was so powerful that the electric pole totally got damaged and the entire area suffered a power outage for nearly eight hours.
The driver of the sedan car reportedly suffered minor injuries in the accident while his companion didn’t suffer any injuries.
As per reports, the road in the area is newly constructed and is very smooth to drive, hence the driver of the sedan car was in a very high speed but he lost control over the car due to the high speed.
It is learnt that the driver after losing the control over the car had first hit a standing Auto Rickshaw and then the electric pole. The Auto Rickshaw suffered major damages due to the hit, it is learnt.
However, due to the accident, the residents of the entire area had to suffer, as the power supply remained disrupted for nearly eight hours.
A case has also been registered in the Rangat Police Station, in this regard. Further details are awaited.
