Port Blair, Feb 05: Police Station Swaraj Dweep has successfully traced out a Senior Citizen within 24 hours. On 24/01/2020, a missing complaint was registered in Police Station Swaraj Dweep. It was learnt that the missing person namely Shri. Gajraj Sai, R/o Govind Nagar No. 03, Swaraj Dweep was not medically fit and suffering from low vision. According to his family members, he was missing from 22/01/2020 and was last seen walking towards beach area at Mundakhari. On the missing complaint two teams were constituted led by SI B. Santosh Kumar and SI. P.C Manickam under the leadership of Inspr. Rahul, SHO PS Swaraj Dweep, the team were send to two different directions of seashore. The teams made continuous search for hours in coastal and forest areas as well as enquired from the local people residing near seashore area. Later on the same day, the missing person Shri. Gajraj Sai was finally traced out from Lalpathar. He was immediately shifted to Health and Wellness Center Swaraj Dweep for medical treatment and was handed over to his family.
The whole search operation conducted under the supervision of Shri. Abhishek Gupta, SDPO (Swaraj Dweep) and overall supervision and direction of Shri. Manoj C, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
