Nancowry, Feb 04: The Helicopter from Port Blair to Katchal via Car Nicobar skipped Katchal Island yesterday as the Helicopter was ordered to lift a patient in distress from Nancowry Island.
As per reports, the condition of a lady patient was very critical and she was referred to GB Pant, Port Blair, hence, due to the emergency, the helicopter received directions from the Assistant Commissioner, Nancowry for skipping Katchal Island and reaching Port Blair with the patient at the earliest.
As per sources, 02 of the passengers in the Helicopter, who were on their way to Katchal were provided with accommodation at Nancowry Island and early morning today, they left for Katchal in a ferry.
