Port Blair, Jan 19: Inspector General of Police, Mr Sanjay Kumar Inaugurated the Police Quarters at Sawai, Car Nicobar. IGP, A&N Police Mr Sanjay Kumar, IPS inaugurated the Sawai Quarters at Car Nicobar in the presence of DIGP, A&N Police Mr Vijay Singh, IPS, SP Nicobar Mr Rajeev Kumar, IPS, Tribal Council Leaders, Officers from local administration, APWD, Air Force and Police. These quarters consist of 08 type-II, 02 type-III and 01 Type-IV quarters.
These quarters will fulfill the long pending demand of posted police personnel for additional quarters. On this occasion, a welcome speech was given by Mr Rajeev Kumar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District emphasizing the role of Police team and APWD officials who coordinated to get the construction work done at the earliest. At the end of the programme, a vote of thanks was given by Mr Prashant Choudhary, DANIPS, DySP Car Nicobar.
