Port Blair, Jan 07: ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair will be organizing a one month long training programme for Farmers’ on ‘Operation of Mini Incubator, Scientific Goat and Poultry Farming’ from 9th January to 6th February, 2020 under the project on “BIOTECH KISAN-HUB” funded by DBT, Govt. of India. The objective of the programme is doubling the farmer’s income through implementation of two activities viz., mini incubator for supply of chicks and improvement of goatery and encourage farmers to develop agri -premiership.
The inauguration of the first batch of the farmers’ fellow training programme will be held on 9th January, 2020 at 10.00 am at the Conference hall of ICAR-CIARI, Garacharma, wherein a total of twenty four farmers have been selected to undergo the Farmer fellow programme.
Mr. V. Mashar, GM, NABARD will be Chief guest, Dr. B.A. Jerard, Director, ICAR-CIARI will preside over the function.
