Port Blair, Sept 04: Believe it or not, finally Andaman & Nicobar Islands have got its own version of ‘Mr. Natwarlal’. Our own Natwarlal is so cunning that he has till now fooled atleast 13 youths and escaped from these Islands with Rs. 12,90,000 (approximately).
A group of youth, cheated by this Natwarlal today met the Superintendent of Police, South Andaman, Mr. SBS Tyagi and submitted a written complaint against the person, whom they identified as Mr. Manikaam (name changed), a resident of Lamba Pahad, Wimberlygunj.
“He promised most of us that he would help us to get a government job and took cash from us to the tune of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 2,00,000 from each one of us,” Ms. Sudha (name changed) a poor girl from Katchal told Andaman Sheekha today.
According to reports, Mr. Natwarlal has also taken cash from others saying that he would construct house for them.
“He uses seven different SIM cards. Now all of his numbers are unreachable and we have been told that he has left these Islands forever,” said another complainant. When Andaman Sheekha tried to contact the person his number was found unreachable.
These youths added that this amount of nearly Rs. 12 lakhs was collected by the said person in 2011. “Initially he dragged the issue and gave many excuses but then suddenly one day he disappeared with our hard earned money,” another complainant added.
However, when contacted Mr. SBS Tyagi, the Superintendent of Police (South Andaman) assured Andaman Sheekha that a swift action will be taken by Police Department, in this case.
Very Sad. Mr Natwarlall should be brought to justice.
Thanks sanjib and your team for alarting us.
