Port Blair, Dec 29: Mr. Parimal Majhi R/o. Mithakhari village reported that his cow getting difficulty in delivery at Veterinary Dispensary, Elephant Point on 25/12/2019 Christmas Day at around 02:00 pm.
Immediately duty staff Mr. Gulam Mohd. Vety. Compounder reached the spot and attended the Cow. He informed to Senior Veterinary Officer Dr. Subhash B. Palve over phone. Who instructed him to follow medication. The Doctor swung into action and comprised a team consisting of Mr. Mohd. Ali, Vety. Compounder, VD, Port Mout, Mr. Satyajit Mistry, Vety. Compounder, VD Port Mout, Mr. Srinivasulu, Vety.
Compounder, VD, Elephant Point and Mr. Gulam Mohd, Vety. Compounder, VD, Elephant Point and reached the spot with instruments and required medicines and carried out Caesarian operation successfully at around 07:00 pm and brought out live female calf.
Both Cow and Calf is healthy now. It is coincidence that last year the same Doctor performed Caesarian in this same Cow by bringing out a female calf which is now around one and half years of age. This shows the dedication of said Veterinary Doctor and team for the welfare of poor village people.
