“On this Teachers’ day I pay my heartfelt tribute to all the teachers of Andaman and Nicobar Islands who are squeezing their last drop of love, care and affection for the all round development of our children and building our Islands through their vast knowledge of Education,” said Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC in his message.
Mr. Sharma added that teachers are the agents of the future and the source of knowledge and skill.
“We Indians have always kept them to the position of god. If we look back at the period of Ramayana and Mahabharata, the students were always introduced by their teachers name, and then by their parents. Imparting education is considered as most pious and noble profession. On Teachers’ day, we gratefully remember the great educationist Dr Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, apart from honoring all the teachers that have made our lives much more knowledgeable and fulfilled, as serving as our guiding lights,” he said.
Mr. Sharma further added that Teachers’ Day reminds all of us of the role of teachers and of the need to improve their status and working conditions.
“Teachers’ Day, the 5th September, gives us an opportunity to show gratitude for their work in preparing the next generation to function efficiently in a changing world. But we the parents must teach our children that they should always keep in mind that every day must be a teachers’ day for them and they should always respect and obey to the whole teachers fraternity, who are their best friends,” he said.
