Port Blair, Dec 16: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma,Member of Parliament has brought to the notice of the Government of India in Parliament on 12th December, 2019 during the debate of “Matters of urgent public importance” that a very long pending important demand of the people of Andaman Islands for constructing of an over bridge in between Chatham Island and Bambooflat Island still remain unfulfilled.
He has also stated that in the debate that during the visit of Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road, transport and Highway on March-2015 and also the visit of the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on 30th Dec. 2018 had promised to construct the bridge at the earliest and hence the Member of Parliament has requested the Government of India to take necessary immediate action on this matter for the convenience of the people of the A & N Islands.
