Port Blair, Dec 16: The ace shooter of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Mr Mohsin Khan maintained the status of renowned shot, in the 63rd National Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship going on at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from December 04th to 26th December.
During his event of 50 meter prone held on 14th December, Mr Mohsin scored 596.6 points.
The shooters who score points above 587 come under renowned shot category, thus, he had qualified him for ‘Kumar Surendra Singh memorial shooting championship’ where only shooters, who score above 587, can participate.
However, Mr Mohsin couldn’t make it to the India trials for not scoring 605 points but he is again having a chance to make it to India Trials, if he qualifies in the KSS shooting championship.
“Though, I am disappointed for not making it to the India trials but this tournament has given me more exposure and I will keep continuing my efforts to make it to the trials,” Mr Mohin said.
