Port Blair, Dec 09: Shri P. Senthil Kumar, an Artist from Science & Technology department creates a mural in the city to spread awareness on growing plastic pollution. The mural took shape near Gandhi Park, RGT Road in the retaining wall wherein he covered 15 ft x 75 ft. The mural took shape over three days and he worked during night only after finishing his duty.
Shri NK Udhaya Kumar, Chairperson PBMC Smti Sheela Singh, Councillor Ward No.10 and Shri Dharmendra Narayan, Concillor Ward No. 17 also visited the site where Shri P. Senthil Kumar detailed the mural. The team congratulated him on seeing his efforts in creating awareness among general public to stop plastic pollution. He did this on voluntary basis and he loved it. He painted the picture of a perfect world full of underwater. He has shown straws, plastic cups, polly bags, bottles, everyday things that we use and throw without realizing the consequences.
