Kadamtala, Dec 04: Can’t put up with the bad roads anymore, the residents of Nimbutala and Sivapuram finally came on road to stage a protest.
As per reports, dozens of residents of Nimbutala staged a massive protest early this morning at Nimbutala Junction against the NH4 contractors for the deliberate delay they are doing to construct the ATR at the earliest.
“Since such a long time we are requesting the administration as well as the contractors to speed up the road work but the administration and the contractor seems to have’ buried their head in the sand’ forcing us to stage this protest,” said a Nimbutala resident.
On the other hand, the school students and villagers of Shivapuram, Betapur also blocked the road at 08:00 AM in the morning as dust in the roads and potholes in the area are not even letting the school student to go out of their home.
As per reports, dozens of students and villagers of the Betapur area blocked the road for around 03 hours causing huge delay for the travellers to reach their destination.
However, looking at the needs of the situation the DC, North and Middle Andaman immediately instructed his subordinate Mr Kishori Lall, BDO to address the issue in the Nimbutala area whereas he also instructed Mr Dole, Assistant Commissioner, Rangat to address the issue at Sivapuram, Betapur.
It is learnt that the public of Nimbutala called off the protest after an assurance from the administration, whereas, the Betapur residents called off the protest after a written assurance given by the Project Manager, Ashutosh Singh of Sunu Garg Sona’s State Promote Pvt ltd, the contractor of NH4, in the presence of Mr Dole.
