Campbell Bay, Nov 18: The Foundation day of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan was celebrated by organizing the Great Nicobar knockout football tournament in association with the Great Nicobar Yuva Sangh the independent youth organization of Great Nicobar Island.
This tournament was inaugurated by Assistant commissioner Campbell bay Dr. Mukesh Kumar DANICS and the Pradhan GP Campbell bay Mr. K.Raja on 15 November 2019 in which eleven teams of different youth clubs participated out of which the two teams Ranchiyar boyz and Babu Lane youth club got into final on 17th November the final match won by Babulane Youth club.
The winner Trophy and a cash reward worth Rs.5000/- was given by the chief guest Dr. Mukesh Kumar (DANICS) Assistant Commissioner, Campbell Bay to the winner team, the Runner up Trophy and a cash reward of Rs. 3000/- was given to the Ranchiyar Boyz by the Dr. Avinash Neeraj the Doctor veterinary department who is well known for his contribution in teaching biology to the Class XII students when GSSS C/Bay had no Bio teacher, the medals were given to the players by Principal GSS School C/Bay Mr. Lokesh Kumar.
The prizes for Referee was given by EE ALHW Great Nicobar Island, and the prizes for lines men was delivered by Mr. Ali PMB dept. Campbell Bay, later the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Kundan Lal DYC NYKS Campbell bay, special thanks was given for making this event a great success to Mr. Bharthi Raja Cashier GNYS , Mr. Venkat Ramana Sport Secretary GNYS and to Mr. Rahul Singh the dynamic youth Leader and the President of Great Nicobar Yuva Sangh.
