Port Blair, Nov 18: A World Congress on Leptospirosis (Andaman haemorrhagic fever) is being organised by Indian Council of Medical Research – Regional Medical Research Centre (ICMR- RMRC), Port Blair on 18-19 November, 2019 in its premises with an objective to review various new challenges and other aspects relating to the Leptospirosis.
A workshop to impart training in “laboratory diagnosis techniques for leptospirosis and characterization of leptopsiral isolates” is also being organised from 18-24 November, 2019 in the Centre. About 60 eminent experts/researchers including around 23 internationally renowned scientists from different countries i.e. USA, France, Brazil, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Iran, Thailand, Srilanka, Bhutan, Indonesia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand are participating in these events.
