Port Blair, Aug 30: Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, Indian National Trade Union Congress, today demanded regularization of 33 casual workers working since 1994 onwards in the directorate of IP&T.
Leading a delegation of the office bearers of the IP&T Employees’ Union Mr Sharma met the Director of IP&T and appraised him about the other grievances of the employees and said him to grant early the MACP overdue to the entitled employees.
Further Mr Sharma also demanded to re-designation the post of Assistant Cook to Cook and implement the transfer policy as per the guidelines promulgated by the A&N Administration.
The Director assured Mr Sharma that he will look into the grievances of employees and resolve them as per the merit as early as possible.
