Port Blair, Oct 24: The students of Government Senior Secondary School Prothrapur, who had to sit on the floor of the classroom due to lack of table and benches have now been provided with sufficient table and benches.
Following report published by Andaman Sheekha dated Oct 14th, 2019, regarding non-availability of table benches in the school, the department has now sent sufficient number of table benches. This happened only due to intervention of Member, UTCPCR Mrs Sampa Banerjee.
Mrs Sampa Banerjee, Member, UTCPCR had brought this matter into light with the help of a Social Worker of the area, Mr Sanish.
Mrs Sampa Banerjee has expressed gratitude to the Deputy Director, Education of the region for fulfilling the demands as per the assurance. Mrs Sampa also thanked the Principal, GSSS Prothrapur for all her cooperation during her visit in the school.
