Port Blair, Aug 27: Over 40 Naval NCC SD Cadets including girls volunteered to donate blood during a blood donation campaign organized by the Commanding Officer Cdr John E Mathew at ITF Ground today. The blood donation campaign was inaugurated by Mrs.Rama Pillai, W/o Rear Admiral Sudhir Pillai, Chief of Staff AN Command. While interacting with the cadets she said that blood donation is a noble service and she appreciated the cadets who volunteered in large numbers . She said that this is one Yeoman’s service which any healthy person can do without much efforts and any harm.
Later she distributed certificates to the donors. The blood donation was facilitated by Dr.Navin Govind, Dy. Director (Blood Safety) Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society. A communication received from Commanding Officer said.
