Port Blair, Sept 25: As a measure to do away with use of plastics in its academic activities, the Indira Gandhi National Open University, Regional Centre, Port Blair has given instructions to all its students, not to submit their assignments /projects/practicals/internships etc, in plastic folders, flaps, cover etc, instead all the students were asked to submit their assignments using eco-friendly cotton tags, paper files etc,. This practice has been in place at the Regional Centre, Port Blair from the year 2017 and most of the students are practicing the same.
