Billyground, Sept 12: The Thoratang Bridge, which collapsed twice in recent past, is now ready in new shape. The bridge has now been made using massive Hume Pipes, placed in several layers. According to Mr. Sunder Rao, MD (Bashishit Pvt. Construction LTD) the bridge is now ready and the contractors have already started trials to make sure that the bridge is safe for normal traffic of ATR.
It is expected that after placing barricades on the both side, the new bridge might be thrown open for ATR Traffic by next Monday, subjected to weather conditions. However, the final date is not yet finalized.
