Port Blair, September 09: A 48 year old man namely Ranjit Baroi was mauled by a Wild Asian Buffalo ( Bubalus Arnee ) this morning at around 11:00 am at Quarry area, Brookshabad. The man suffered grievous injuries on his thighs as well as head.
As per reports, the man was walking with one of his friend while suddenly a Wild Buffalo came from front and started mauling the old man.
The friend of the injured person pelted stones over the Wild Buffalo even though the Buffalo remained adamant.
It is learnt that the friend later called the public from the nearby village after which the Wild Buffalo left the spot.
The man was immediately rushed to the GB Pant Hospital and currently he is under treatment.
