Port Blair, August 29: On receipt of information at Police Station Diglipur on 24/08/2019 a raiding team was constituted comprising of PCs Krishna Kumar, Abdul Nasir, Bijoy Kumar Das and Soma Dey under the command of Inspector Pritam Behari, SHO PS Diglipur and under the overall supervision ofMrR.K. Sharma, SDPO Diglipur. The raiding team swung into action and conducted a raid on the suspected premise after following due procedure and recovered 386 gms of Ganja from the possession of the offender who was identified as R. Babu Rao S/o Late R. Musliah Age 46 Yrs Tailor R/o Durgapur Diglipur. Accordingly, a case was registered under appropriate sections of law and the accused was arrested.
The district police follow a policy of zero tolerance towards consumption of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and their peddlers.
