Kadamtala, Aug 23: Several people got injuries when a private bus coming towards Port Blair from Diglipur turned turtle in Kadamtala area this morning.
According to eye witnesses the accident occurred when aN over-speeding car which was coming from the side of Port Blair smashed the bus head-on at around 9.30 am at Phultala village of Kadamtala.
The Maruti Alto Car tilted 90 degree while the Bus turned turtle. Situation was so bad that villagers had to cut the body of the bus to bring the passengers out.
According to reports there were four people inside the car, out of whom, three are severely injured and where referred to G B Pant Hospital Immediately. Luckily passengers in the private Bus Anand, survived with minor injuries and were discharged after first-aid. No casualty has been reported yet.
Sources conformed that one of the passengers of the Car has accepted that they were driving at the speed of 80 KM.
