Port Blair, Aug 23: The President Pradesh Council committee Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma has urged the Lt. Governor Andaman and Nicobar Islands to start commerce strem in all Bengali Mediums Schools.
In a letter addressed to the Lft Governor Mr Sharma said that during his recent visit to North, North Middle, Havelock, Neil islands, many groups of Bengali inhabitants have met him and requested for Commerce Stream in Bengali Medium.
“Opening of such stream in Bengali medium not only be beneficial to our Bengali community but many aspirant teachers will get chance of employment in various subjects of the stream”. Mr Sharma added.
Therefore Mr Sharma has requested the Lt Governor to consider commerce streams in Bengali Medium in Govt Sr Sec School, Rabindra Bangla Vidyalaya, Port Blair, Govt sr Sec School, RK Pur, Hutbay, Govt Sr Sec School, Havelock, Govt Sr Sec School, Kadamtala, Govt Sr Sec School, Kalighat, Govt Sr Sec School, Kishori Nagar, Govt Sr Sec School, Diglipur and Govt Sr Sec School, Bakultala.
