Pani Ghat, Aug 22: Construction fault in the approach walkway of Pani Ghat Jetty has become a constant source of discomfort for the resident of the area. According to daily commuters after heavy rain the approach walkway of Pani Ghat jetty gets inundated with rain water.
Andaman Sheekha Correspondent found that after heavy rain commuters, including children and office goers, have to cross the said walkways by removing their shoes and sandals.
“The Jetty was repaired soon after tsunami and one could see how professionally the works have been carried out. This is total mess. We have complained in every possible office but till now we got no respite,” a commuter told Andaman Sheekha.
Everyday more than 1000 people use the Panighat Jetty and during rainy days things become too difficult for them.
