Mayabunder, July 18: The students living in and around Tugapur area are facing huge difficulties these days in reaching their schools at Mayabunder. According the students the only STS bus which is available during their school time, usually reaches late at Tugapur No. 8 in the morning hours and hence they often reach their school late.
Not only this, due to heavy rush all seats of the same bus remain occupied and sometimes students have to hang on the bus doors dangerously, to reach school.
When contacted the Pradhan of Pahalgaon Panchayat, Mr. Shibananda Bairagi told Andaman Sheekha that earlier there was an exclusive STS bus for the people of Pahalgaon and Tugapur area, which used to start from Tugapur area on time and used to reach Mayabunder before school hours.
“But now Administration has made this bus common for people of Chainpur and hence the bus starts from remote area and reach Rest Camp very late and hence students face problems. We need one more STS bus in this route in school hours. Not only this, all the bus operating in this region are in horrible shape. The Administration must do something,” the Pradhan said.
