Port Blair, July 17: The Middle Andaman region has witnessed heavy rainfall yesterday night and today morning. Mr Awanish Kumar, the Deputy Commissioner of North & Middle Andaman has ordered all ACs, Tehsildars and EEs to keep an eye over the water-logging situation in their respective jurisdiction because of the heavy amount of rainfall in North and Middle Andaman region since last night.
“Local people are advised to report to the North and Middle Andaman Administration if any incident happened because of the rainfall. The government will take immediate action if needed,” The Deputy Commissioner of N & M Andaman told Andaman Sheekha. As per report, no unfortunate incident happened until today and the situation is normal now.
