Port Blair, July 04: An accused of PS Diglipur today accidently fell into creek of Humphery Strait from vehicle ferry, while transit. As per public when the accident took place at around 3.30PM the vehicle ferry was full and the constable on duty was holding hand of the accused.
According to reports, the name of the accused is Nagaraja Ganpathi, 51 years, who was caught by police team from Sikandrabad recently. By the time the accused was rescued by ship crew and public and was brought to Kadamtala Hospital, he was dead. Senior officers of police in N & M Andaman could not be contacted for an official comment. Further details are awaited.
